B&N: Allies & Enemies Page 1

All you Billy & Nibbles fans out there, should I continue with this comic idea? This is just page one.

Leave me some suggestions/support in the commments section!

Thanks!

Billy & Nibbles Thanksgiving!

I know it's a little late, but I hope you can enjoy it all the same. This is for the Billy & Nibbles fans. :)

Steam Sheriff

I've been drawing this guy a lot lately, and for a while off and on before that. I'm using a new pen that one of the kids at church gave me when my previous Uniball Vision pen ran out of ink. :) How considerate! It made my day. Plus, this new pen bleeds into the paper a lot less and gives me crisper lines when I scan for coloring.

Laser Kitten! Birthday Card

This was a birthday card I did for my little brother. My family just got cats, and Vance got to name one of them for his birthday. Both cats love to play with the laser pointer!

Edward (& Jacob) vs. Batman

My sisters have read many teen vampire novels, and I can't help but make little cartoons to get their approval on. I especially like the ones where Edward is vanquished in some way or another.

Colored on Photoshop. :) Click to Enlarge!

The Marsh Lake Minotaur

While camping this week, we were woken up by a cow that was mooing like crazy. The legend of the Marsh Lake Minotaur was born. Relatives were all making jokes about the minotaur, and I invented some nonsense about the minotaur marking trees with his horns and stacking rocks to mark his territory.

He also made an appearance on some scratch paper during a 4 hour game of PHASE 10...

My poor cousin Bryant became the subject of many "skips" in the game, and I decided the minotaur should have a chance to skip Bryant too. :)

Bryant was threatened by the minotaur for taking too long on his turn. And Bryant also became a weasel for a reason I can't remember.

The Adventure of Billy and Nibbles!

Yeah... you'll just have to read it. No explanation needed. Click to enlarge.

Peer Pressure.

Same Spikey Warrior as previously pictured, being dared to poke a Frost Giant.

Spikey Guy and Troll

Today, my little brother drew a picture of an awesome warrior with spikes on every inch of his armor... and a chain mace. So I drew this picture of a troll fleeing from the warrior, and then using him as a chain mace. :)

Happy 24th of July!

I hope you enjoyed your pioneer/wild-west heritage yesterday!

Viking Concept

Just a couple of doodles of a viking. :)

Ultimate Warrior Baby!

Sitting in front of us at church was an adorable baby that kept making "RRRAAAAHHHH!" noises! It reminded me of the Ultimate Warrior of WWF fame.

So funny.

Halfling Rogue: Uncliff Double-Daggers

This is an idea for a character that I want to play, partly because I feel that I'm missing out on some part of the Dungeons & Dragons experience if I don't play a halfling rogue at some point.

Census Mouse

I decided the Guard Mice would be the ones taking the census in the Territories.

Drawn in digital colored pencil, inspired by Mouse Guard, and by working as a Census Enumerator.

Mouse Guard Me 2.

For this one I actually used a line template that David Petersen actually drew.

Skills!

Mouse Guard Me.

There were comments made that my last Mouse Guard fan art wasn't really a doodle, so here's a more doodley one. I decided if I was a mouse I should be a little more beardy... and have an axe.

My pen was dying, but I think it looks pretty good for no penciling.

Like it?

Mouse Guard Ferrins

I picked up a copy of David Petersen's "Mouse Guard" on Free Comic Book day, and I think I'm hooked. I love the artwork. This was my rendition of what Meredith and I would look like as members of the Mouse Guard.

The Tundra Baby

Based on a hilarious photograph of a baby muskox, expounded upon my Vance, Monica and Meredith.

Conservative City

Drew this while venting about someone in Las Vegas saying that Utah needs to give them more water, and that "Salt Lake City doesn't know the first thing about being conservative."

Not only is it funny because of the political irony, ie: Utah=Conservative, but it's also funny because Vegas gets virtually all of its water from surrounding states like Utah. You've already made it so the Colorado River no longer runs all the way to the ocean, what else do you want, Vegas! Do you need that water for the fountains in front of the Bellagio?

I think this person should realize that if the people who visited Las Vegas started to be conservative with their money, Vegas would die. Blah.

Dear Microsoft

My computer problem ended up being something with my power-strip, so you'll be happy to hear that we're back together.

Twilight, New Moon Cartoons

My wife and sisters are Twilight Fans, though none of them really enjoy the movies. I just got the biggest kick out of the Edward/Jacob dynamic.

These are just a few Twilight Doodles.

Golfers

There was sign up a church for a doubles golf tournament. 82 dollars per team was the price, with a pathetic, "That includes golf cart rental!" written underneath.

Where the Wild Things Were

We watched "Where the Wild Things Are" over the weekend, and I didn't like it very much. I felt like there were trying too hard to be deep and artsy with a lot of dumb dialogue and fancy CGI. Not a fan.

This is pretty much how I sum up my experience. And yes, those are the bones of children, they were also featured in the movie. Seriously.

Scarlet Prime

The best fan fiction ever!

My Sister read "Gone with the Wind" a while ago, and recently she finished "Scarlet", a sequel written by a different author. I explained to Carmen what fan fiction was, and it became the running joke in our house that Miss Scarlet would marry Optimus Prime.

Dwarf Shaman!

This is going to be my character for a Play by Post game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Carl's Senior?

This was a request from Scott to draw the Old People at Carl's Jr.

I drew it live via Livestream.

The Bullywug Brothers!

Two Frog-Men. Two Best Buds.

Just Sayin'.

I was warned by others that if I made a Minotaur Character for D&D I would be assailed with bovine jokes.

I told them I had it covered.

It's what's for dinner.

The Uni-Taur

Got this idea for the unfortunate character played by Steve Medeiros, (@4eDnd from Twitter.) His minotaur was disfigured from a trap and I tried to convince him that the lady minotaurs were WAY into that kind of thing.

(Uni-taur is not to be confused with the Pegacorn...)

Keep it Real, Guys. 2!

Here's the final colored version. Art Decoooooo!

Keep it Real, Guys.

Here's another bizarrely titled Art Deco Poster concept.

Thanks for your comments! Seriously.

Little Help Here?

We have an Art Deco assignment one of my classes, so I thought I'd draw this iconic strongman... and make sure you'd have to look twice by writing something weird in the text.

Enjoy! I appreciate your comments!

I Love You More!

This is just a goofy doodle I did at church for Meredith. I might frame it and hang it on our wall somewhere. :)

Marriage Flow Chart

We were having a lesson in church about possible different levels of marriage cohesiveness.

I put my brother, Bruce, at the bottom because he isn't married. He was sitting next to me and got a kick out of this Marriage Flow Chart.

My Geology Professor

This is a sketch I made of my highly animated Geology teacher, Professor Eaton.

This man knows how to get excited about divergent plate boundaries and plagioclaise feldspar.

Wood Burnt...

This was a first for me in a lot of ways. I was practicing using a wood burner, and this scruffy looking guy was the result. I took him home and cut him out with some instruction from Bruce on the scroll saw.

The best thing was that I didn't even use a real wood burner. It was a soldering iron. :D

Incomplete Odin

Here's another quick one I did during my drawing class. Incomplete, but still pretty cool.
